Hello! We're Maura and Justin, of Fancypants Baking Company. Our story began in 2004 in a small, cramped Boston apartment. Maura was bored at her job (statistical analysis, anyone?) and spent a lot of time daydreaming about doing something else. She started baking - and was hooked. Justin was happily teaching elementary school; but he was a foodie at heart, and couldn't resist joining the fun of building a cookie business.
Flash-forward 10 years. Today we have new ovens, a talented team who help us bake and decorate cookies, and a lot more space! Things look pretty different. But at our core, we still believe in the same basic principles that we did when we started: simplicity is the key to making great cookies. We bake with simple, fresh ingredients like organic cage free eggs, non-GMO Project Verified flour and sugar, and rich Madagascar vanilla. We build each cookie cutter by hand and taste-test every batch of cookie dough. And, just like when we started, we're totally committed to handcrafting delicious cookies. We hope you love them!
